I think I was lucky. My mom is an artist. She never insisted we do anything artistic but she never denied us if impulse struck when we were growing up. It never occurred to me when I was growing up that I was NOT creative. Of course, like most of you, I "grew up" and went to college and started doing grown up things. In my case, that meant having three kids in under two years.
Necessity is the mother of invention, right? I like nice things. I want nice things. I can't afford what I like or want. And, so I started messing with "Oops" paint and seeing what happened. I can't draw like my mom but I have a good sense of color and a good sense of how to mix patterns. So, here I am. I am creative. You are creative. He/She/It are creative. Seriously.
Anyway, I'm going to get brave and try a live tutorial on Thursday. Gah! (If I put it in writing here, I'll be more obliged to do it.) Tune in for an easy way to indulge your creative side without having to do much more than watch! I'll thank you for watching the video and you'll thank me for the ideas. (Or, we'll just never speak of it again and remain friends.)
